Solent Christmas Folly Cruise 16.12.06

A few of us got to chatting and had a Christmassy thought.

How about a crimbo blast to The Folly?

Arrangements could be finalised nearer the time but a land meet could be plan B if it's howling out there!

Beware! 'Tis the day after the Christmas Solent Do so this shall really be a hangover cruise!!!

If you're keen to get out, pm or post here!

Solenty Lot

(P.S. No need to sticky this thread JK as only a few may struggle out! )

For me the 16th has already been put aside for this cruise. I didn't know if it was still on though due to a lack of threads on it.
Also need to find a crew but with Nos4r2s new drysuits it shouldn't be a problem clothing them. I have a full set of matching Ravensprings now.

I went over yesterday and it reminded me of this. Put me and Ju down weather permitting The fresh air will no doubt prove to be a good cure for the inevitable hangover

Unfortunately I cannot make the Solenteers Christmas 'Do', but a blast on the 16th sounds great. Count me in

As you already know, count me in as well and my Dad too in his hard boat so be nice to him, I'll give him loads of fenders so he resembles a rib.

Fantastic!

Biggles that's a brill offer so potential crew please pm him asap!

Tim and Ju good point! Perhaps we should pencil in 17th as fall-back day if the weather's awful with Plan C being a land-based meet?

Ian M and crew it will be wonderful to see ye!

Bogib and Steinunn that's excellent news and hopefully you will have a memorable week-end in Blighty!

Nauti Buoy everyone will be checking out that RIB at close quarters (and probably waiting for you to moor up first also!!!)

NautiBuoy Senior ! Look forward to seeing your new boat!

Plenty of interest then. Should be a nice day out

Any peeps around from the Island of Wighty? And will the Littlehampton lot have recovered sufficiently from the Christmas Celebrations to make it to the Solent?

Any others interested, please pm or post here.

(P.S. thanks for sticky)

Great news Tim!

Any other mighty Wight-Islanders & Solenteers available?

Some peeps may have lifted their boats for the winter in which case a car-cruise to The Folly might be in order for you & your family

Kathleen & Paul

(Don't forget that Nauti won't get out of bed unless there are two helicopters, a series of burly 'bodyguards', stealth RIBs and the paparazzi so we've got to leave room for them.)

The only seat I have left is the one infront of the consul so if you got a tight grip you are welcome to that.

Andy,

If weather conditions permit I'll keep a seat for you.

I'll be launching from warsash anyway so should be good for you.

Nick.

So plenty of leg room then .

However much I'd love to have a ride on Nauti Buoy, I've been offered and accepted a seat aboard Zerstorer, Biggles ride (top man).

I'm sure that an opportunity will arise in the not too distant future .

Thanks Richard.
