Just got home, what a brill day, was good to put faces to some of the names on here. A BIG thank you to the Jackeens for organising it all and Naughtybuoy for his assistance.
Tomorrows job replace the ******* wheel bearing that decided to disintegrate on the A34 at Newbury only fitted 325 miles ago still at least AA recovery works

Just a quick note from me - it was an awe-inspiring sight that I had from the deck of the ferry back to Pompy of a flotila of RIBs (and a "hard boat ) coming across the Solent from Cowes. and then the break-away group heading back to Chi.

I have to say, regretfully, that a couple of the RIBs were certainly exceeding the 10 knt speed limit through the Inner Swashway but at least they all slowed down to go through the entrance. Have some piccies on the 'phone of this "transgression" which can be deleted or posted depending on the size of the contribution to a suitable charity! No, sod it, it's Christmas - I will post 'em here when I have figured out how to get them from 'phone to PC.

'Twas good to meet old and new friends. FWIW, the trip back up the A3 later this evening was bloody cold - had to put the winter gloves on but at least the heated grips worked well.

Basicly, along Haslar Sea wall just before entering the Harbour. I forget the distance from the Shoreline the 10 knott speed limit is enforced but (thought it was 500 meters) I'm sure I'll be corrected. It is tempting to go flat out as it's a pretty sheltered area of water and you always want one last blat before recovery . You just want to be careful on who's about, also the QHM dosen't like playing RIBs just off the Harbour entrance, but I've never heard of anyone getting a rollocking.

Thanks all, great day yesterday. Got highjacked as soon as I got in, whiskey in one hand mince pie in the other, so did not get near my PC. Then this morning I realise just how noisy the keyboard is
Really enjoyed it, and bonus, the christmas tree made it home. Thanks P and K for the organising, all I have got to do now is get the b_____y tinsel off my boat. Bogi, number one son says thanks for the gift. See you all soon, and sorry to those I did not get to talk to. Bed, I need more sleep.............

The bit of water where you were jumping the Fast Cat wake is the Swashway and where we nearly ran into each other is the inner swashway.

Andy. Its 1000 yards (QHM has not gone metric yet) from the shore is where Ribald will nick you for doing more than 10kts (given half a chance and a faster boat).

well if the speed limit is in force for some 1000yds from the 10knot sign by the entrance then i suspect that a few folks are guilty, i did not see one boat keep to below 10 knots for upto 1000 yds out

What a Fantastic day out.

We all enjoyed ourselves, even Mrs Nasher.

Must thank Kath and Paul for the organisation, plus Bogi and Adda for the Iceland lanyards handed out to the kids.

Looking forward to seeing some more pics from those that were snapping away.
I don't have a single picture of Nashers Revenge on the move so hope somebody will be able to put that right for me.

The Nashers.
