Hi Neil
We are reckoning on being out tomorrow (Sunday) as well.
Not sure as yet if it will be me and two kids or the whole family, but either way a run out to the needles and/or just to Yarmouth for lunch (depending on how cold it is) sounds good.
What time were you planning on being in the water?
I guess we'll be launching up the Hamble at about 11.00 by the time I thaw out the boat!, and assuming the slip isn't too frozen.

Hi Trev,

11-1130 at the entrance to the hamble should be good.

Cheers

No pics today, but nice to catch up with Dizzy Lizzy and Storm Breaker...

Rough trip over to Yarmouth, probably the roughest I've been out in all year I'd guess... but quite nice on the way back

Thanks Neil and Paul for giving some of my crowd a lift on the way back - with 7 on board it made the run up to Yarmoth a bit wet for some of them as 3 had to be forward of the console - still, they all enjoyed the trip both to and from Yarmouth so it can't have been that bad .

rough and cold

Hi Neil and Trevor

Reasonable run in good company and an opportunity to to blow away cobwebs. I did'nt take my camera on this trip but Bryn had his, although too bumpy to use most of the time.
I will ask him to download images and see what there is. and post accordingly.
we may go out either Wed 30th - calm day forcast, or the Sunday 3rd run organised by Avocet.
cheers Paul

On the return run - (running with the wind and tide)
going to Yarmouth was wetter still!

Well I was till my Neighbour phoned up and wanted to come round to do some Central heating upgrades and some plumbing. I could always tell the missus to deal with it you never know he might fix her plumbing too!

Well .... we went out and I can confirm that it was indeed very cold and wet - even by Solent standards!
Either of the above is not normally a problem but the near freezing on-and-off drizzle made today one of those days when we were glad to be back in the warm car!
Roy - it was a wise choice to stay at home!
Hope it's nicer weather for the Nacho Raid on Sunday
