I am after some good places to go and explore on the Solent, i am picking a rib up on Saturday the 24th and taking it back on Sunday 26th - Need a good place to stay over night, if anyone can recommend - Camping in the RIB

Do you know where i can buy a chart of the Solent over the Internet?

You're welcome.

Depending on how much coverage you want, alternatives could be Inmray C15 http://www.imray.com/record.cfm?stock_code=0015 or C3 http://www.imray.com/record.cfm?stock_code=003

BTW, are you familiar with the area? If not, the "Destinations" section on our web site may be of assistance.

Chart pack 24 should really give you enough information - with the other ones you'll know the area better than anyone!

I think the upper reaches of the River Hamble are great. Past the M27 Bridge.
Plenty of Marinas in the lower Hamble. Upper only reachable at high tide though. Beaulieu river is nice, again high tide for the upper reaches. Cruise liners to look at in southampton docks if they are in and you like that sort or thing. Poole Harbour/Brownsea island is nice too.

Hi all

Its a good weekend for us too - we've got a bit of catching up on ribbing to do this year now - so weather permitting, will be out one of the two days.
