Guys,

The plan sounds good although no one seems to be able to decide on a day...sat or sun? daddy or chips?

Anyway, I may well be out to take some action RIB shots for you all, either in my boat out of Yarmouth (I will meet up with you all somehow) or out with Ray who has very kindly offered to take me (legend).

I will keep a close eye on this thread to see what the decision is.

Cheers

Tim

cos not a good idea to call out on C16 and mobiles are not really heard on a rib

Good idea although I don't have my cert to use the VHF, but I will monitor channel 72

Hi everyone,

We will be out both Saturday and Sunday. The weather looks like light rain for Saturday and cloudy but dry on Sunday. F4 both days.

We will fit in with what everyone wants to do. We would be up for going round the island on Saturday but may not be able to go that far on Sunday.

It seems most people want to go anti-clockwise so one suggestion would be for Andre, Janet & Bill and Ray to meet up somewhere between Portsmouth and Bembridge and then continue on to Calshot/Cowes area and meet up with Steve, Peter J, Timboli, Roy and us? Depending on time (what time can you get out of Littlehampton, Andre?), we could lunch in either Cowes or Yarmouth then continue round the island, picking up Tim on the way?

Alternatively, we could all meet at St Helen's fort or the Nab Tower and then continue as above?

Alternatively...any more suggestions??

Looking forward to seeing old friends again and meeting new ones!

P.S. It looks as if we might have a couple of spare seats on Blue Ice if anyone fancies it...

Hi Andre,

Excuse me if I'm missing something blindingly obvious, but why is better for you to go clockwise?

well that is simple , as I have 35 Nm to Yarmouth and if for any reason I am delayed then I would have a lot of catching up to do and would not be worth going. But if I were to go clockwise and everybody is going anticlockwise then we simply just meet up on route head on

So, if I'd understood correctly, you reckon the best plan would be for most of us to go anti-clockwise and you to go clockwise? Or do you mean that we all plan to go clockwise? (Sorry I'm being a bit thick today!!) My suggestion of going anti-clockwise was based on tidal streams, Ray's preference and I thought it'd make a change! I guess if we use the comms you have suggested we can, to an extent, play it by ear? Would be good to see you, in any case!!

No no you stick to your plan and once a meeting time has been confirmed say Yarmouth for the anticlockwise group I will then this evening post my final decision whether will join you or meet up with you on route
Janet & Bill what are your plans?
