Sounds good to us, Ray. Tides are looking good for you too! HW 9.00 ish.

The weather forecasts I've seen suggest Saturday will be dry, bright and with only a light breeze (F2), Sunday will be cloudy with F3 winds (both days North Westerlies).

We are planning to be out for one or both days.

My humble suggestion is to go round the island on Saturday (unless the forecast changes), anti-clockwise starting from Portsmouth/Bembridge area, lunch in Yarmouth (or Cowes, depending on start time) then round the back of the island. That way we'll be running with the tidal streams all day (I think!). And it'll make a change to go that way! And Ray fancies going anti-clockwise!!

Always open to alternative suggestions, of course!

After a long exchange of PMs with Louise, she has persuaded me that I should join in. I have never been that far on my boat to date but she assures me it will be great fun!

Do we have a definite meet time and place and is it anti-clockwise?

Peter.

Peter, Can you please explain what you mean by - Humungus great diesel thing - cos my engine has only got a modest 120HP

by the way why not go anti clockwise cos for us East of Selsy Bill it is better
If you can't then I , if I decide to go, with go anti clockwise and meet up with you on route

will confirm my participation tomorrow.

UK stuck between a low over Iceland and high pressure over Biscay. So, everyone's guessing!

Going by what the BBC say, it seems Sunday may be better than Saturday.
