Been trying to get a sib meet up on the WSF forum inflatable club for yonks now,minnis bay for a bit of skate,or hound fishing in the summer,never got out much on this poxy summer,managed 2 hounds this year 6lb ,9.5lb ,had a few rays early spring,winds have been so regular as ,being blowy most wk ends has put paid to planning things out in advance,been a case of if free and conditions right then GO,but no good for getting a meet togeth when you have to give short notice,good luck on your meet up.

I like the sound of a river cruise, it's less weather dependant. Maybe in at Putney? There's no locks and some sights to see. Can't do this weekend though.

17th or the weekend after sounds good. ,putney is a good launch site plenty of parking could go as far as windsor .......... or allington lock maidstone to tonbridge is a good run by all accounts. ... on the medway river

it dose get busy with ferrie boats and a fair bit of drift wood about up stream
can get very choppy .

I might be up for a jaunt from Putney, other commitments allowing. Sunday 25 looks best at the moment but I might be able to make Sat 17 or 24. Haven't looked at tides but it doesn't matter too much in a SIB

Could aim for St Katherine Docks or Limehouse for lunch maybe.

I'm not in a position yet to consider this meet ( not got my SIB yet), but it's good to see such things happen.. but would a small 3.1m SIB with 6hp be suitable for a meet like this?? or would it be scoffed at by the big-engine boys?

we will not leave anyone behind if the big boys want to race ahead thats there call the thames is a very active place and traffic is every where and flotsum in the water ..........

so feel free to join us

i work on cadogan pier most of the time so i know the river quite well

Us big boys with our mighty 15hp outboards?

It's a big, fast river with a fair bit of large traffic in places and something like 10-15hp and a slightly bigger boat would be preferable. You'd probably get away with it though provided you don't load the boat too much.

Like guernseylee says though, we'll make sure everyone is OK and can tailor the day to suit everyone.

Sounds good, but not sure of commitments yet ,not been on thames befor, will keep an eye on this thread i have 4mtr honwave +25engine

look like we have a few boats coming ......... i will ring greenwich yacht club and see if we can use there slipway for lunch ,they have a galley there good food by all accounts if not a packed lunch on the isle of dogs there is 2 slipways there .

a flyer will be about with basic info

closer to the date finer details will be sent out
