Searider gathering, Solent - 10 October 2009

< Summary details only on this thread. Discussion here please. JK >

Arrangements for the searider gathering after much discussion and deliberation this evening with NOS4R2 are:-

bloody same as last year

meet at the lightship in haslar marina @ 11am on the 10th oct 2009.
we will come down southampton water and have a recce on the weather and sea state and decide from there whether we go to Ventnor/Yarmouth or the Folly
so as to launching, calshot activity centre, warsash, or camber dock are the best bets.
I think we will launch at warsash.

Any queries or questions direct them to me or NOS4R2

I’ll be along on Saturday as one of the non-Searider attendees.
Davybuoy in his 5.4SR and myself in my Ocean will be launching at the Camber some time prior to the 1100hrs RV at the lightship.
We’ll probably be getting down to the Camber very early in case it’s busy.

Note for first time Camber users:- Please remember that to cross the main shipping channel from the Camber dock to The Ballast Pile outside Hasler you must call QHM on Ch11 and request permission to cross. Or else risk the wrath of the harbour patrol.
Same is obviously true later in the day to get back to the Camber.

As it's a Saturday by crew have other commitments, but Mrs Nasher has agreed to taxi the smaller Nashers to their Rugby Matches, so I’ve been given a free pass for the day, but which also means I have no crew, so if anyone wants to join me let me know.

Ch72 as usual?

Nasher

So what's happening tomorrow, where we going?

As no one has set a VHF then as Olly and Nasher said 72 seems OK to me

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
