It was indeed a great day out. Should we be thinking about a 'Shakedown' cruise for 2009 - maybe around Easter? We could do another Solent Run - or Cardiff is a good run out for the first of the year - nice launch facilities inside the boom, and you can either run around inside the boom or go out into the channel for a longer run if weather permits?

Cardiff I will second that.
Would like to get out before then though if anyone fancies a run from the bay, Need to fix my gearbox first though! at a push i can just change the oil again and drain out the salad cream at the end of the day

easter is just to far away! and cardiff is nice and close too for me. I do like going to the south coast but i wont need to get out of bed at 5am to have a day in cardiff, and the slip was probably made by Carlsberg! also i can do 2 days in cardiff for the cost of one down south.

Ok! i really should sort my gearbox out but i am up for it!
When do you want to go? this week is probably out as is the weekend, but i am back in work on the 12th, after that the first weekend emmas not working?

I bought a Searider 5.4 that lives in North Wales and I was thinking of bringing it down to Cardiff by Sea and then trailering it to Southampton. It would be cool and groovy to tie up both.

DHdai is prpepared to crew for me and that's always cool and providing nobody tells Manning we can have a good day

BTW Cardiff is my home town so it won't be a probelem to put up 8 or so of you with the family. My 80 year old and very springy MUM just loves to feed people en mass
