Hi Jambo..yup ..I'm a Burn's Country man myself .. I now need to remind myself to visit old haunts more often .. I had forgotten how nice the Clyde is

Hi 69cmw ..the SIB certainly reach places larger boats cant ..and I had a full day of fun for 4 litres of fuel and a can of Guinness

Here is part two ..we can take all the light sites in if the weather is too dodgy to do the complete round of Arran. So there will be a few weather options

Hi again Jambo.. that explains it .. next time I'm across at Garroch head ..I hope to land and visit the old Kilbride church ..they tell me its worth a see

Hi Xk59D..yup we both agree the Clyde is a great place

Hi HH ..its a pity ..but I had to go when the weather was there. There will be other days

Hi Breezeblock .. Forth Firth or even Sixth..Im happy going round them them all

Here is the last part of the winters day out on the Clyde.. hopefully you have enjoyed it and it inspires folks to attend the SIB outing in June. It should will be a bit warmer then ..but who knows.

A Severe weather warning is over the UK again next week..freezing temperatures and lots more snow

Best Regards
The Gurnard

Donny, what do you use as a camera-steady on your handheld?
It seems to work almost miraculously.

Hi Brian..now my liver is functioning properly again ..Guinness steadies my hand perfectly.

The Go pro shots are with the Gopro Karma Grip fitted ..its a gimbal and works flawlessly. I hand hold the gimbal though as solid mounted on a OB vibrating boat seems to upset the gimbal.

The long views are taken with a Sony FDR AX53 camcorder ..it has a built in stabilizer that works perfect and it can zoom into wildlife hundreds of meters away ..which a Go Pro cant do. It works better than GoPros in low light situations.

I find cameras are a bit like boats.. its all a compromise so use two or three different cameras depending on my requirements

Hope that helps

Loved the videos Gurnard, so to echo everyone else, thanks!

Unlike normally, when sequels are worse than the original, I preferred the third part. Terminator 2 is an exception.
