Thats the spirit !!!

There are more RIBnutters in Cornwall than I thought I honestly thought no one would be up for this at this time of year - now we potentially have 3 boats.

Available / Preferential days would be useful from all parties. That way if the weather looks good for more than one day that week we can choose the day that suits most people.

I'm up for any day - I will need help launching if its wed/thu/fri - but other than that ill be going even if its just me.

Iím ok on any day apart from Xmass day and New years Eve/Day.
Chris Iíve got a Garmin GPSmap 168 Sounder with PZ to Scillies charts, but it needs and external GPS antenna (currently on my RIB) and a 12v supply.

If you havenít got a GSP antenna Ill bring my it anyway as a backup for Royís, it fits the same power cable.

Iím going to do a passage plan, which will be a good exercise for me as Iím 1/2 through my Yacht master theory, assuming you have a compass on your RIB

If you havenít got a GPS antenna, with Royís permission it would make sense to use the handheld on your boat so we can chart the passage and separate the GSPís in case of emergency!

Well if anything it will give you all something to laugh at as it blows over the side

Camping could be interesting count me in Brrrr, but a hotel room sounds even better 

I've got a Garmin 188/238, your map should be OK in it. I've even got a wireless on there so we can speak to each other.

Dont you have any charts?

The 168C has built in memory and the unlocks work for my GPS only, the charts are keyed to the serial number of the GPS.

Yeah, but they only work in the computer which is attached to my neck! The only thing I ever really use is the Trackplotter at night or the stars. Left at the Manacles and follow the Big Dipper. I did think that when I struggled to find Kynance Cove last year that I out to buy one, I'l get a Bluechart before we go and give the old sextant a service! You thought that I was joking when I said to follow the Scillonian. I'm from the Dell Trotter school of navigation.
