If all goes to plan, it should be 11.30 to 12.00.
I'll call you if you like as we leave Calshot.

My chartplotter and fixed VHF packed up today, think a fuse is gone somewhere, but if I can't fix it, will have to follow others course round south if island, into ventnor etc, and will be on handheld VHF and gps only.

See you all tomorrow

That's OK Trevor, we'll be lurking around No Mans Land Fort/Ryde Sands, see you later.

Unfortunatly couldn't make this mornings meet. I couldn't find the special spanner for the wheel clamp till it was just too late. I was really looking forward to today too. With all the bad luck I've had in the last few days with things not working and breaking down I wasn't in the right frame of mind by the time I'd found the spanner to had enjoyed today fully. I thought I'd turn some negatives in to some positives and have been working on maintaining the RIB instead. I've repaired all my tubes and have started sealing the edges of the rubbing strake, so starting to feel better about today.

I'd still have preferred a day on the water instead of sweating away here.

Hope you guys had a nice day out and I look forward to reading all about it later.

I had a great day - ended up doing 40 miles in Streaker ....

Out to Bournemouth pier , then out to the needles, into Yarmouth and back to Mudeford .

Saw 250 for a quick hi and I 'think' Avocet going into Yarmouth ( I'd never catch him so didn't try )

I think the BIBOA boys in Yarmouth roads before going across the channel.

A bit worrying there were maybe a dozen swimmers between Lymington and Yarmouth not an A flag in sight on any support boat.... I came too close for comfort.....

Great day out on the water, sunshine, calmish seas, great meal at the Spyglass as usual and good company. Lots of differently rigged sailing ships out too, little and large

Sorry we did not make it to Ventnor. We refuelled in Yarmouth, had a bite to eat and then just chilled out in Alum Bay. Just what we needed at the end(ish) of a busy season.
Hope all got home safely.
Agree with Pete, who ever organised the swim across the Solent needs to think again. Even though warned by Pete about the swimmers, they were very difficult to spot, the escourt boats did not make an attempt to get between a swimmer and an approaching boat and did not display any Flag or broadcast on Ch16.
