Wonder if anyone would be interested in making a weekend of it and do some camping at the weekend as well, especially if people are travelling.

Last time I did this sort of thing was with the Solent skiers, and the night out afterwards was excellent.

Just a thought!

Any idea how much fuel he used? I have a similar set up (Zodiac 4M Rib) with a Yam 40hp 2 stroke... I'd love to go round on mine, but even with an aux fuel tank, would worry about having enough fuel (2 x 25l)

Sorry - that didn't work as planned - that was a reply to an earlier note from Whisper about NathanK going round the island on an Avon 4M SR4.......

Nothing to worry about, numerous palces to fill up in the Solent and as said before I'm sure the larger boats won't have any issues carrying a few extra cans - I certainly won't mind

Excellent! Its going to be weather dependent for me (as it will be for all the smaller craft I guess) - but for now, count me in! Ill be coming out of Lymington....

Hi Matt

we did round the island a few years ago in a 5.8 with a yam 90 and only used just over 50 L we did plod round to be fair
may see if my son wants to go round in his sr4 we me as back up
