Would love to make this. We'll have to trail down from Gloucester on Sat. Where's suitable to launch to join the throng?- and where's good to stay local to launching ?- I expect Sat & Sun night. Round IoW will be a big trip for us!

I have just seen this thread, would love to be involved, I will trail down from Midlands, and launch at Christchurch, where will everyone be meeting, and at what time ?

(It probably says somewhere on the thread, will have a search.

I'll need to get some hours on the water in the new RIB before making a final decision but, assuming it performs as expected (and weather permitting), I'd love to join you all.

I would love to join you all, weather permitting, and will be looking to hook up around the Brambles Bank/Calshot/Cowes area.

Can't wait and bring on the good weather...

I may be up for this, most of you know I have more reasons to thank cancer research than most, if anyone is coming down the day before I have somewhere to store the boats central to the river hamble, I can have a word with my mate at Fowlkes boatyard to use the slip as long as you don't clutter his yard up, the concrete slip is tidal but not too bad, can't promise this bit but ill have a go

A few more to our flotilla and a great offer of help from Biff

We did this last year on a rolling start, so assuming it's clockwise it will go something like this:

Boats leave Poole Area picking up a few more boats along the way inc Christchurch, Lymington and Yarmouth and head towards our rendezvous which will be outside Cowes (or near by).

Boats leaving from Southampton can meet with each other en route to the Cowes rendezvous.

We all leave the rendezvous together and head round to the forts picking up the boats from Portsmouth area.

We then head round the island, when we get to the Needles we say good bye to our friends from Poole and Christchurch as they have now completed the circumnavigation.

Last year we stopped off at Yarmouth to grab some fuel and use the loo.

Lastly head down the Solent feeling rather smug that we did it

The final split takes place near Bramble Bank as boats head towards Southampton, Cowes and the rest off to Portsmouth and beyond

I'll look into the best place to stop on the way round, but with the number of boats expected I don't think it will be Ventnor however it might take on the form of a floating picnic in one of the bays and girls using the bigger boats for the loo
