Just heard that I won't have a working engine in time for Sunday

Could sneak along with you in a hard boat, or appeal to the mercy of the RIBNet massif and beg a ride for a donation (like I did with Hightower last year when the same thing happened )

Gutted.

Knackered dog clutch on the E-Tec apparently, and can't get parts over the weekend.

Thanks for the offers of a ride. Let me see how keen the co-pilot was to come before I know what I'm asking for.

For twenty miles on the M40 this morning from Warwick to Banbury it was a monsoon and at 40mph I couldn't see the trailer wheels in my mirrors for rain and spray.

As Biff says though, it's lovely down sarf but I prefer bitter with a head on it. Been oooop norf too long I guess!

Which is why we soft southerners live down south - its forever sunny and warm.

Dont trust anyone except the met office ...

Did not think i would be making it in my own boat buy Powertech managed to service it today and could find no sign of an air leak in the fuel line. Said it's the nicest sounding Evinrude DI he has heard.

So will be out to play from Drivers on the Itchen tomorrow, hoping it's all ok under proper load.

Anyone out from Drivers or SDS or somewhere on the Itchen tomorrow? A bit of company would be nice on way out just in case.... want to check it's really all ok before Sunday.

What sort of time are you thinking of heading out? We may decide to come down tomorrow and spend the saturday night somewhere, the boat is at SDS.

Providing the rib is ok and it is totally finished I need to square away what is left in our savings account, if I don't have to buy anything that I haven't already got here in my sheds I can put another £237.74 into the Macmillan pot
