Sounds like an epic day out. I’m a regular to the west side of IOW, totland, freshwater etc from tuckton in Christchurch, however I’ll be in a 4.2 futura FR SIB. Are SIB’s allowed??

Not so sure cos you may not keep up with us even @ 25 to 30 knots. Pls remember this is not a ribnet organised cruise and every participant is responsible for his and his crew’s safety. The weather conditions seem to be favourable but the decision to go is yours alone.

I sadly can't do Round the Island, as I have an outboard on our little harbour run-around dinghy demanding my attention (with it having stranded my parents last weekend...), but will hopefully pop up to Yarmouth from Poole for lunch on Saturday, so might see some people there. Have a great trip round the island tomorrow!

Only 3 ribs made the trip and the weather and sea conditions were exceptional. I have been round the IOW many times but had never experienced a mill pond on the other side and that was all the way . The first choppy sea were past the Needles and in the Solent. Photos to follow later
