You could try Sunday 1st September, that way you could also include the Cowes to Torquay powerboat race, due to start off North Head at 09.00, this years race is 2 legs, the return leg starts at 14.00 from Torquay so will finish in the Solent around 15.30.

I was going to the start of the CTC race anyway so I will already be a third of the way. Might be up for that.

if it's flat calm..and I mean flat calm like nil wind I'd love to get my Avon round..

failing that I'll be based on mudeford spit. the bbq will be going from Sat eve. all ribneters /nobbers welcome.

+1 for that. Almost the same set up.

Failing that, I'm happy to jump on board with someone with a bigger boat, see how it's done etc....

More than happy to help out with fuel etc...

Also got one eye on the sib meet at Portland that weekend.

It's all about the weather...!!
