just got back from m'hols, stick and rag job sailing in greece, and wondered how the boys were doing. All credit to 'em for sticking it out as the weather has not been kind so I'm told. Well done to both crews

Hi Thanks for all the support Yes we are staying at the Ferry Inn Scrabster, Harbour master recommends a 7am departure to get through the Pentland Firth, not sure yet how far down the Moray Firth we will get

I am about to post a thread on the main area asking for tips on routes through the Pentland Firth and if anyone knows where I can get a bent stainless prop fixed on the East Coast

Any help appreciated. Thanks

I was pleased to read on the blog that the staff at Whitehaven lived up to my praises posted earlier. It really is a pleasure to visit their marina, nothing is too much trouble for them, just sorry we are based a mile or two up the coast these days. (And that I missed you passing by)

I have noticed a distinct lack of AIS tracking of Teal for the last couple of days , Is this due to a technical fault with the Ais transponder , or just the lack of receiving stations around the top of scotland ,however other vessels in their vacinity do show on., I havent been able to see where they have got to on AIS since Kinlochbervie.

It was just by luck I found the Scrabster webcam.

Keep up the good work !!!

Hi
The transponder should be on all day not all nights
We were on AIS this morning at breakfast in Wick see ShipAIS - Latest AIS for TEAL
However I to am dissapointed by the coverage, our aerial is only 5m high and class 2 our not that powerful\
Tonight we are in Lossiemouth, heading for Stonehaven on Tue. All very tired

I did think that it was a combination of TX power (2 watts I beleive) and being low down compared to all the other vessels up there.

Just so you know stonehaven harbour has its own webcam,

Aberdeenshire Council - Stonehaven Webcam

So smile when you arrive.

You are all doing a fantastic job
