There is a campsite near Chris's yard and then a travel inn/hotels/b and b etc in Caernarfon which is a walk up the road. Re the boats, Chris is your best bet to contact.

Good work RMS, try not to get the ropes round you prop this year.

There's already some excellent kit that will be bobbing about, not a bad sign up for day 1

It was an impressive 007 overboard with knife in teeth exercise, executed so swiftly nobody even noticed!! I'd have faffed about desperately trying to flag down some unsuspecting dry suited up foolhardy youngster, probably off Rib Tickler, there were plenty of them around!

Welcome aboard! It's the 4th year we have done it, weather can be inclement but with the island there is always a good run to be had and there is safety in numbers. Ensure you research what you should take with you on a cruise, be self sufficient in all aspects, plenty of threads on here to help you.

If you don't have the fuel capacity, the run from Caernarfon to Conwy and back, up and down the strait is about 60miles in total. A good run for most, but many who make the trip to NWales want to "Go round the Island" navigating places like Carmel Head, The Skerries, The Stacks etc as well as the infamous Strait itself and "The Swellies". Reputedly the 2nd most dangerous stretch of water after The Needles. (??)

Mental? 4.1m 30hp....

Maybe.

I will do it again, but may not bother if as rough as 2013.... My crew had to had a hot bath at 3am the following morning because of the pain...

Is a walk in the park on a calm day...

Warning to other small RIBs.... They will not wait for you....

Campered to the bleek north of the Island in 2013 the Swellies felt like heaven on the way back home....

Trudat. We were running with you til about Treadur Bay where we wussed out. Would really like to make it round the island this year but our max fuel capacity is prolly about 130litres with jerries. at a nice steady 20 knot cruise in nice weather we'd be fine. If it's sh!tty again we might struggle but going to give it a bash!

Btw say hi to Stormin Norman for us. We were sat with him at Fu's last year; good lad.
