I'd like to come, would my RIB be suitable, it's a ribeye 600 with a Yamaha 115? I launched from Chris's last year for a day, had a great time, just not sure on the range of my boat?

Jim

Sorry about that Chris. I took your advice and avoided the bank holidays! Happy New Year to you and Jane. Look forward to catching up with you soon.

Jim

Jim your Rib should be more than capable. I have a Ribcraft 585 with a Suzuki 140hp and reckon on 1 litre a mile ( it actually runs a bit better than that). It is about 80nM so I estimate 100 to 120l to be on the safe side. I am fortunate as I have a good size internal tank.

Do you have an internal tank and if so what size? There is no where to fuel up until you get back to Porth Daniel at Menai Bridge so you need to carry sufficient fuel to get all the way round.

120L built in tank and I have 2x 20ltr Jerrys as well, should be ok then!

Best to carry fuel for the full trip if you can because I dont think Porth Daniel have realised that the price of oil has come down from 2014 yet ;-)
