What's the procedure on return? Beach and then walk up to the yard or hail on channel 80?

Sorry for all the questions but i suspect it's going to be a bit of a rammie on Saturday...
Lol, Its Ty Calch, 'Ty Coch' is the very nice 'red' pub on the beach at Porth Dinllaen. (along with the Gazelle, its one of Hp's watering holes! )

Launching : Tractor will pick your boat up when you signal your ready to go, Captain and Crew are welcome to stay aboard so its a dry launch, (If the Boat hasn't got power trim and tilt or its a lazy starter) then the captains usually chuck a pair of waders on and walk in with the boat / start it up in the shallows before casting off.

Recovery : If its a quiet day doesn't harm to give us a bell on the mobile 5 mins before you get back, but on a normal day we're on the beach or in the yard adjacent and will either here or see you coming, and fetch your trailer down. Some guys do drive there boats back on the trailers, generally the bigger boats, but if the tides out or past half tide down its pretty shallow approach and very easy to ding your prop. We all where waders and so will be in the water as soon as we stop the tractor, but assistance from a crew member is always handy as the currents or cross winds are usually pulling at the stern!
We'll happily winch your boat back on the trailer, but if you've got a big crew onboard a hand is always welcome.
it is going to be fairly busy launching on Saturday morning but there is 3 Tractors running, and I suspect the returning ribs will be very staggered due to different abilities and objectives!

Look forward to meeting you on Saturday, Chris.

Wishing you all the best of luck with this adventure, wish I could tag along.

I know Pete is well prepared, he had so much kit on charge, the lights in Bournemouth are running dim!

Take lots of good Vid & pics and make sure you all get back safe

Regards
Steve

Great pic, just had a look, I see what you mean. We also found the reflected waves from the cliffs prior to there caused a rising and disappearing confused sea. Takes your breath away when the boat lifts from under you, then DROPS as if there is no water. Very different to driving up a wave and dropping off the other side.

Just hope it's more like this....

Can anyone help-sorry to harass

If anyone is at all grateful for anything I have organised , please help my friends 2.5 yr old daughter who is fighting a rare cancer. She's nearly through the initial treatment but may then need drugs only available in the USA. Disgusting when you can get free boob jobs on the NHS. (Another debate).

Please have one less beer or 5 mins of half throttle (at least in the speed limit zone) and donate at Anya's appeal
