Agreed! presence is everything, assuming I'm not working that day.. 25th is the start of the Largs regatta week also, so the marina might be a bit busy, where will be the muster point chaps? assuming weather is ok ?

What Craig C said...

Mrs. Grocer and I don't often get a Saturday off together. (Thinks: We've had one Saturday off together in the last 13 years). So when the chance comes along we're going to take it. And if we can help someone else at the same time as doing something we A) enjoy doing together and B) would probably be doing anyway, even if not necessarily in the same waters; then why not?

Sure, the economics don't appear to make sense on the face of it; but I'm not a fecking accountant, I'm the guy who pays for the fuel and the boat; and if we can put a few quid in the way of a voluntary service whose assistance ($Deity forbid) any one of us may require one day if/when we get it wrong then I'm only too happy to assist.

(Guess which charity box sits on my counter top.)

(Cue stirring music)
Y'never know, if enough of us are around, we might even get RIB.net a higher profile here in the civilised part of Britain...
