Ribnet Meeting

I think we shoul organise a couple of Ribnet meetings / cruises for next year. Its seems that there a lots of members to Ribnet and we should all try to meet up at least twice a year. Perhaps one up North and one Down South or even in the Channel Island for a cruise.

Another idea is that Ribnet produce through its members here on the forum a calander of cruises for the coming season that we could take part in. Ie Keith Orkney cruise is one. If I go to Dartmouth next year that could be another one and so on. etc

Hi Alan

Go and get your 7mtr Ribtec back and organise some cruises, Normal cruises i should say the ones that are less than a 1000 miles. Like the old days.

Maybe JK could add another forum so that info on events can be posted and not get lost amongst everything else.

Another Forum

Daniel

That is a great idea other wise the calander may get lost. we can each then add events to it and get some great cruises in next year.

Hi Julian

Good idea, I am organising a cruise down this way again next year, although it will be slighly different to the norm. The emphasis will be on socialising, short cruises, 1 or 2 a day (10-12 miles), a bit of water-skiing, scuba diving and snorkelling, fishing, in fact anything you can do in and on water. ALL sibs and of course ribs are welcome.

Generally the idea would be for everyone to get to Herm where I will arrange all the camp-sites and everything else required. This will be our base. Over 3 or 4 days we will do all the things mentioned above at this wonderful playground. Daily excursions will be cruising to Guernsey, Sark, Brecquo, Jethhou, the Ecrehous and the Minquiers. We can spend quality time at all these places instead of always rushing around. It will be fantastic to have everyone around the bbq's at night, drinking and burning meat at the camp-site, which I can tell you is FANTASTIC.

Details and dates will be finalised soon....
