Plymouth is a GOOD IDEA!!

I went to the Poly there loooong time ago and spend 4 years. Now Plymouth Poly is Plymouth Univercity.
I'd love to go there again and see the place. Use to do a lot of sailing too up to Wheatsand Bay (did I spelled it right??). The little coves there reminded me of Greece.
Is a lovely place. GOOD IDEA I'm in 100%

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, yes. (Do you see the "Vicar of Dibley" in the Channel Islands?)

But seriously, Plymouth can probably offer more than Poole, and as I've just signed up for another six months of stress with (ahem, can't say) then I'm more than willing to let someone do all the work

So, you're coming all the way by SIB then, Charles?

He sure does, Manos. He's on BBC West TV just before 1900 each evening. My regular weather update for Cornish waters. He's gettin' on a bit now. Bit like me....

Can't believe it
Craig must be what 65+ by now. I was there about 20-25 years ago.
Thanks for the info mate. Will be looking forward to sail and walk around Plymouth again.
Who knows I amy see familiar faces again.
Cheers

Good grief Manos, You went to Plymouth Poly too? That makes 4 of us! You, me, DGPW and Tiger 2 (IIRC). Judging from your photo it was a little while ago? I left in '90.

Also had the joy of being taught by Craig Rich - didn't beleive it at first when someone told me he was on the telly but true enough there he was reading the weather! Other lecturers I remember with some fondeness were Fred Weeks and Tony Redfearn. Remember them?

Plymouth is an excellent place for a weekends cruising - Brian has run a BIBOA cruise out of there for a couple of years running. Lots of places to go and see + lots of accomodation to be had.

Cheers,
Alan
