There's time for it to change. Will be making my decision over the weekend as to whether to launch on Monday or not. May launch regardless in the hope we have some good weather over the easter break even if Paris doesn't happen.

I updated the Garmin waypoint file this morning, it is on our web server here:

http://www.alderneymarine.com/roadto...oadtorouen.gdb

If the weather on the Friday is grim, but better on Saturday do you have wriggle room to leave a day later? I guess the Sunday locking is going to be the big problem.

Meant to be good luck.

The forecast for Friday on Windfinder has changed a fair bit eh! F4 SE, dropping to F1 by Sunday!

The Met Office are predicting a High the size of Canada lurking out in the Atlantic by mid week.

Windfinder currently offering F4/3 SE on the 22nd, improving on Sat and Sun, then F4/5 ENE on the Monday.

The weather for Friday is certainly improving and a Channel crossing should be manageable - albeit with a little discomfort and certainly not at WOT! Whilst Alderney is clear of mist on both Friday and Saturday, XC Weather is currently showing Le Havre as 'misty' all day Saturday.

Mist and fog seems to be quite common for the Seine Estuary from what I've read. My AIS will come in very handy if that's the case!

RIBase
We crossed the channel today by Incat and it was absolutely balmy, in the RIB we would have easily maintained cruising speed all the way across.

Latest forecast is giving consistent weather for the weekend and start of the week, F3 from the east.

Avocet, your crossing should be ok with F3/4 ESE. Keep an eye out for Orca as several have been spotted!

The weekend forecast has been steadily improving all week, by the time we get to Friday it'll be glassy with any luck
