spare seats from sds

Hi there, does anyone have space for two passengers from SDS on Sunday. We normally hop on Trevors boat but he thinks the rest of the family are probably attending.

With a gentle south-easterly wind forecast (albeit overcast and max temp of 5C and the possibility of early fog in the Solent), the weather is looking generally good for Sunday. We (Grimalkin) will be looking to launch at Parkstone Bay Marina, Poole around 10.30am along with Oscarguitar (Half Cut) and suggest that the rest of the Poole contingent meet up with us by the Royal Motor Yacht Club (Bell Buoy) around 10.45 to go over together. VHF Ch8.

I'm attaching an updated List of Participants. Will post a further one tomorrow on which the final figures to be notified to both pub and harbour authorities will be based. Please, therefore, let me know of any amendments or additions asap.

I'm a "probably" but I won't be leaving until 1130 so I'll sweep up behind you all and meet you all in The Wheatsheaf.

With some light rain now predicted around midday, the forecast is not as good as it was although the temperature is unchanged (cold) and the wind remains light. I attach a final list of those who have indicated that they will be attending and on the basis of which numbers have been advised to The Wheatsheaf and the harbour authorities. I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

David

Cracking conditions on the Solent today, quite a few boats and ribs in and around Cowes. Have fun tomorrow

Was planning on coming until tonight when I tried to remove my steering wheel to give access to replace a switch and in the process the wheel has split away from the metal insert and the thread in the shaft got caught and is now ruined. Not sure I can even retread it. Anyone got a spare wheel?

Let's see tomorrow. I may be back down to just me or +1 as Katie and Pam think that 4C max and light rain means a trip to a warm cinema may be preferable.

Well, got out of the drive, to the slip, fought to get past a van parked at the top, only to find the tide too low to launch at, (first time launching this boat at bottom of tides where the sea bed is flat).

Mrs getting cold, so decided to call it, only to find clutch is on its way out as i pulled the boat back up the ramp.

Van still parked across driveway, so lots of back and fore to get it back into the drive, clutch didn't like that.

Hope you all had a good day.

Good day slightly ruined by finding out dog had been attacked by 4 staff like dogs at home. She'll be ok though!
