Redbay Boats Ardbeg Cruise 2017

This year the company celebrates 40 years of boatbuilding with an early trip to Ardbeg on Saturday 27th May. Open to Redbay craft, departing Red Bay for lunch at Ardbeg, likely stop on Rathlin on the return leg for a "refuel " and finishing back at Cushendall with (allegedly) a Suzuki UK sponsored BBQ and later drinks until silly o'clock at the boat club...
It is the responsibility of the skipper to ensure:
  1. The vessel has the correct insurance cover
  2. All crew have the proper waterproof clothing and safety gear... lifejackets to be worn at all times
  3. That kill switches are worn at all times
  4. That the vessel has sufficient fuel to complete the trip
  5. That s/he has the appropriate navigational information to complete the trip unassisted.
Redbay Boats carry no responsibility for any crew or their craft and that said responsibility falls onthe owner/skipper of each vessel.

Obviously this trip is somewhat weather dependent. I intend to try for this one but I'd be making the passage around Malin Head to attend so we'll see.

Any other "Redbaynetters" joining?

Wish we could have joined, missed the last one, but we will be on our way with family for our North wales holiday, obviously stormforce will be with us.
Have a great day, might get to join you one day
Have recently thrown some new life back into our boat, new tubes, new elephants trunk and the removal of old graphics and the anti foul.
Really pleased with it, just joined Dan Gurney and rib net crew for the Bardsey rib cruise for Macmillan cancer, as you would expect the boat performed exceptionally well in lumpy water
Have a great day

Need some higher res pics! Getting rid of antifoul is always good news; nasty stuff!

some more back on the trailer

New tubes

No antifoul

Graphics didn't match the graphite grey tubes so had to go

Shame the new logos on the tubes were bit high, would have prepared them to be close to the d strake, but it was too late when i got the pictures.

Boats so much cleaner now, really pleased with the new look

Just a heads up for those planning to attend this event - please give Leona at HQ a bell and confirm numbers. I got a smack for just assuming they'd know we were going....

The long range WX watching will begin next week - nail biting stuff

Yes Billy
The words "Ardbeg, Redbay and good weather" are never used in the same sentence.
In over 15 years I can only remember one "smooth" passage.
Regards
J
