Ramsgate to Dunkerque

Anybody tried this?

I'm after a bit of advice on if it's easily do-able, places to fill up (food and fuel!) etc.

Thanks in advance!!

Chris

Doable certainly, not very easy though but it depends what you call easy I guess.

Straight line distance of less than 40nm, though I would do a dog leg by heading due east along the outside of the ferry's channel out of Rammers to get well clear of the sands. TSS is often a challenge, AIS can help but expect to have to have your brain firing on all cylinders.

Gravelines is a very pleasant town adjacent to Dunkerque, worth a look if you have the time.

Hi!
Here is a link with information about the marina where you will find fuel in Dunkerque.
It's in french "Station de ravitaillement en carburant".

http://www.dunkerque-marina.com/grand-large.php

Hope that helps!

Easier if you're not being bombed or strafed I'd guess

I think it may have been done before??
