Best bet is mooring at the new (to 2014) visitor pontoon in the harbour. There is a sand bar at the harbour entrance so you can only get in and out a few hours each side of high tide, but worth the effort if the tides are right.

I am out and about in Poole / Studland all weekend on big Indaba and my mini Indaba Rib. Anchor at Pottery Pier, Goat Horn or just off Brownsea near entrance. Having a shake down cruise before we head off to Spain on 30th. Any Visitors will be fed tea or something stronger if permitted.
