Lookin' at the forecasted wind direction and tide it might be more comfortable going clockwise...rather than coming back over the bar in a force 4-5 SW over an ebbing tide in the afternoon?

might be a touch dry on the bar late afternoon, think someone's left the plug out on The Straits

Good work Ed!!! 12 hrs and we'll be suiting up!!

You guys head off towards us at 10.30/11, we'll be fueling up and floating this side of the bridges, if weathers nice we'll go round after conwy. If not, we'll run through past Caernarfon, over the bar and on to pilots cove!

Looking forward to beer and chips in Conwy, plus a mooch round the boats and a natter.

think we'll have to play it by ear in the morning HP, if we're gonna go round the island then clockwise maybe the better option, gonna be short on the wet stuff over the bar late afternoon, or just head thru the Swellies n on the conwy for chips etc, see what the day brings on eh

October cruise north wales

Ok, I'm leaving chester 8.30, (have to help with bin kids first!) Anglesey 9.30, on water 10-10.30ish.

Leaving Conwy after 1pm we could follow falling tide round island anti clockwise. Though with SSW it's a wind over tide for some of it on NW side of island.

I'd be more than happy to run to Conwy, up the river, then perhaps Puffin Island and over to Moelfre to see the new station, then go back through the strait to the bar and pilots cove, before returning to Beaumaris in my case.

Looking good though. 7mph SSW at 1pm

Have a good day Ed,thanks for the offer of a ride was looking forward to a run out on the beast today

I think HP got wind of his dunking today by the BS boys and sabotaged my car ..!! The spare is one of them space saver crap things ..!!
Can't get the tyre repaired till gone 11 so have to wait I'm not risking driving 120 mile on a bike wheel.
