rib trollop

Just got back and couldn't wait to see the piccies. What a great set on the site. If those of you who took any could e-mail or post on CD to me I will make a comilation CD as a reminder for all of the day. If you want my address PM me and let me know yours so I can post back.
A massive thanks to Windchill as my plan was to go round the island calling in where people wanted. What we actually saw were sights on Anglesey which I, and many others didn't even know existed.
Kevin supplied the vehicle and transported the fuel to Anglesey for us as well as calling at South Stack en route back to get some photo's. A huge thanks to him for this.

Nobody has mentioned the RAF Sea King helicopter flypast we had with crew waving from about 50ft up. I hope someone took a photo of that! Or was I dreaming?

Just to put the record straight on the 'Rib Trollop', she only managed 5 skippers on the day but I had her twice!

Sea Rider steering

Matt, no problems with the steering this time, in fact the only problem was the right hand trailer wheel falling off 1/4 mile from the caravan site in Abersoch after trailering it from Conwy at 50mph!!! So nothing much!

Low flying aircraft are quite common round there, due to RAF Valley on the island. When we used to have the caravan near Neffyn in the Pwllheli area we had jets flying low over us nearly all the time. Seems to be similar in Aberystwyth too, so can't wait to move.

Sounds like it was another great weeked out Ian, hopefully I'll be there next time. Back to work now is it?

Matt

Good that the steering's holding up then. Now that's been said though it's probably doomed next time you go out...

back to work tomorrow so got at least 16 hours on here before that! God I missed RIBnet whilst away, must have become a junkie. I'll have to get electric hook-up for the van next year and take the PC with me.

5 quid?! Do they clean it for you or something while you have a cuppa?

Couldn't you just drop the anchor and keep the boats within jumping distance of the pontoon?

More good pictures Ged, were these taken in your usual style of leaving the boat with noone at the controls whilst framing up the perfect shot? Was quite impressive watching The Full Morty speeding along through the waves with noone driving!

Matt

I think the dragon who demanded the cash would have swam to the boats to collect it. She was a real bit*h but was as nice as pie once we handed over the dosh! (hope she's not on RIBnet).
You'll find Aberystwyth a bit like this, but I think it's £6 there for short stay. Jahno will correct me if that's wrong.

The crews

Other than the 'Rib Trollop' who took the photo, this is everyone who took part in the NWR Anglesey Circumnavigation.
