nw ribsters group

firstly belated apologies to Kevin for not being there thurs night (we had spent most of that very nice sunny day on the mersey doing a boat test on a twin engined rib - tuff job but someone has to do it! and then had a NW training group meeting at night). Please put me on the list for a NW group but I would prefer the forum to remain open - after all I tow the boats down to the solent (just to go for a meal at the Folly!!), wales, scotland etc and I wouldn't like to feel excluded from cruises/events in those locations - in the same way I would hope those from elsewhere would feel welcome to join a NW group event if they wanted to tow oop north!
United we stand divided we fall etc etc
Dave

NWR

We discussed IOM at last weeks meeting also possible Eire, Anglesey and Cardigan Bay cruises. May even get some meetings arranged in North Wales.
Keep an eye out for details or let Kevin have your e-mail and he will advise the next happening.
Cheers
Ian

I can help anyone coming to the Isle of Man.

Mooring, B & B's, Yacht Club directions etc.

Just post it!

Look forward to seeing some of you over the summer.

As the next meeting is scheduled for June, I think now is the time to plan a cruise! North West Ribsters (+ anyone else who fancies it) to Isle of Man to meet up with like minded people from the island.
Never having arranged a cruise before I am looking for someone to take up the challenge. Failing that I'll give it a go.
June 28/29 doesn't clash with anything that I know of. Let me know if you are interested. The departure point etc. can be determined when it's known who is going.
WhitingIOM (sorry don't know your name), I am sure a return visit to the mainland can be arranged.
Ged, are you game?
Cheers
Ian

Sounds great idea,
If we can bum a ride, there are two of us and we will pay half the ex,s if there are any seats going.

You could keep your trailers on our bit of spare land if you want,if your launching from Nott end 20mins away or Skipool 3mins or Wardleys 8mins away.

This facility is open to who evere wants to use it.

Theres enough space for maybe 8 trailers,or of your leaving your boat for a wk prior, then maybe 4/5 boats.

IOM TRIP

Ian .Im up for it on any dates. I surggest we leave Conwy, if the weather is to bad we can cruise the Angelsey coast line or go down the straits, this way we can cruise on the dates .I have plenty parking space for trailers/cars.

Iom Trip

28 & 29 June is perfect.

That's the date of Douglas Bay YC regatta, so there will definitely be a band and food on in the club on Saturday night.

Pontoon berths may be at a premium, but I'm sure that it will be possible to raft up in the Inner Harbour.

Can't guarantee the weather, but I could look into B & B for you if you like?

High water Douglas is 11:20am BST on Sat 28 June, so you can get in and out of inner harbour from 9:30am (approx) to 1:30pm.

Nice lie in on Sunday 29 June - HW is midday so you could leave any time after 10am up until 2pm.

If some of you wanted to go for it on Friday night, HW is 23:40 so you could probably get in at about 10pm (still light in these Northern latitudes at that time of year), and have time for a few sherbets in the YC!

Jon
