North West RIBsters

Hi Gary

I don't have a list of attendees but I have been contacted for details from people from Blackpool, North Wales and Wolverhampton who tell me they wish to attend. The event is proceeding as planned. Hope we see you there.

North West Ribsters

A big thanks to Kevin for arranging last nights get together.
Great slide show and commentary on a fascinating cruise/expedition.
Nice to meet fellow minded folk (even though they have bigger, newer and faster ribs than mine!)
There seems to be a good number of interested people in the area who want to get out and about in the North West so this summer should provide opportunities for some good cruises and social events.
I look forward to the next meeting wherever it is.
North West Ribsters are back on the map.
Cheers
Ian

Yep North West ribsteres are back on the Map for sure.

It was a great Talk and Thanks Kevin, I can tell its going to be a good laugh.

I cant wait till the next one.

Thanks very much and a big hello to all who were there,I made the fatal mistake of talking Cabin Ribs so all sence went out the window.

So Next time nobody mention the word Cabin Ribs to me, and you may get some sence out of me.There again maybe not?

Thanks to all for a great night

Thank you for travelling so far:

Blackpool
Preston
Great Harwood
Bury
Stockport
Woverhampton
West Midlands
Apologies fra': IOM

Would have posted sooner but, but only just found the 'space'!

Thanks to all you guys and of course your 'gals'.

Perhaps have a photo competition next, from your RIB trips. With a couple of catagories - and with a prize for each. What do you think?

Kevin

Many thanks to Kevin for a great night.
It was nice to put names to faces and meet a few new ones.

Lets hope this is the start of making the north the place to be and not the south coast (we I can hope).

A few ideas on possible ways forward.

a) A North West Ribsters web site
b) A e-mail list of people so we can send round planned trips etc
c) Compile a list of events/trips people are doing and are happy for others to join them, either on the web ,e-mail or even news letter.

For me (once I get my RIB ) the next step is to get people out on the water toghther. Its nice to talk about things but lets get doing some.

Whats other peoples thoughts ?.

Regards Gary

Gary

Thanks for your comments and ideas. Some which I think will be worth following thro. We have already a NW RIBsters logo and I will set-up a website for the group at: www.NWribsters.co.uk

I can publish NW Events and contact emails and also provide a news letter submit system. Will email when I have something to view.

Kind Regards

If you want I'd be happy to set up a separate NW Ribsters forum here. It would only take a few minutes -- you could even have your own moderators.

I feel it better to keep away from a seperate forum as it will keep the group and the messages open to everyone if it isn't regionalised. It could end up with forums for different regions which would marginalise some people instead of 'spreading the word'. Better to keep it on an open forum basis as now, which by the way is brilliant.
The title of the 'Thread' alone can indicate to all if it is North West related.

Just my thoughts
Ian
