New Trafalgar Dispatch: News of Nelson's death arrives in Falmouth

Hi All
This looks like a great day shaping up in the South West on Aug. 4th as part of the Sea Britain 2005 festivities, think ill have to book a few days off.

"A symbolic recreation of the voyage in 1805 from Cape Trafalgar to Falmouth of Lt Lapenotière in HMS Schooner 'Pickle'

“HMS Pickle replica arrives at Mounts Bay. It will be met by a fishing boat from Penzance and will then travel to Falmouth."

This is just the beginning of the 'dispatch' making its way from Falmouth to London over the course of several days. A post-chaise will travel through Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Surrey & London. So plenty of opportunities for Southern England based RIBnetters to witness it. I reckon the Falmouth based part will be the best for boat lovers though!

Edit: more info available here.
