Sh*t it was awful today! just no let up for 4.5 hours I have even got a blister on the hand that was clenched to the wheel Saturday was almost full a challenge today was just an in durance mission no fun at all!
My poor crew got such a hammering don't think I will be able to sit down for a week! just pooped.
Blasting down the Solent flat out on a flat see was a welcome end to a cr*p day on the water.
Would I do it again well yes but not in those conditions

Yep, a confused sea. I am sure it will not look too bad on the Gopro, but it did give us and the boats quite work out. I must admit I thought a number of times, "OK had enough now", a mite unrelenting - and then through the mist the IoW gradually came into view. Magic.
I found that as I got tired, I was hearing more and more horrible noises, that must be the batteries come loose, I am sure that clang was the anchor going through the locker, what was THAT bang.
Of course, back home and all is as it should be.
Hopefully videos to follow..........

If it's any consolation - it wasn't much better on Blue Ray - the longer hull just meant we slammed harder in those beam seas.

... And Hightower won't be able to stand up for a week having caught his shins on the entrance to the cabin when we slammed down one time.

My anchor locker lid flew off at one point, guess it was the anchor taking off on one bad wave and just punching it out managed to fix it later on in the day

The Eldorado had the more amazing beer collection

Thanks to Trevor for shepherding us on the way back! my crew there really suffering and I just had to go slow, old men and bad back + those seas don't mix!

Glad you all had a great time, was envious reading about yesterdays crossing but was quite happy to be watching the Touring Cars today after reading one or two of these posts, must be very rewarding never the less.
