Horrid! Thought we were going to call a mayday with a suspected broken ankle in the Humber mid crossing!

It was Ajstars brother, bit worrying initially but he transferred to Ian M's RIB and had a better ride in that for the rest of the passage. On arrival at Lymington he seemed a lot better. Got to take your hat off to the guys in the Humber and Ribeye they did bloody well in the conditions

Conditions were horrible, forecast was for 0.7m seas this morning, they were more like 2m. Wind started off SW about f2-f3 but veered to NW and increased f4-f5 with higher gusts. Seas were fairly confused so we took another pounding, probably worse than Saturday

Didn't see the IOW until we were about 3 miles from it. What a glorious sight after a 4 1/2 hour passage.

Think its fair to say we ache all over, body took a beating, clothes wet through.

As an end of season cruise it was more like a challenge but we've done it, we had a lovely night in the La Pizza restaurant with a great bunch of like minded RIbbers.

Well done to everyone, let's hope next years end of season cruise is on a mill pond !

Glad you all made it back more or less OK, despite the conditions, well done to you all.

Were the boats in better conditions than the crews at the end?

looking forward to seeing any vids that survived.

Well done one and all. All weekend I've been looking at forecasts and thinking about you lot. Ribs really are the 4x4's of the sea.

Hope the ankle is OK, and no lasting damage.

The casualty was delivered back in Lymington by Ian and myself. After managing to roll himself on to the pontoon he managed a couple of tentative steps then hobble off under his own steam. He seemed to be in reasonable spirt when I last spoke to him and thought that the ankle was just badly sprained.

Fingers crossed that he makes a speedy recovery.
