Mont St. Michel Saturday 17 April

I'll be going to Mont St. Michel this Saturday if anyone fancies coming along. I'll be leaving La Collette marina at 06:30 so long as the weather's ok.

I'm very interested in going at some point, thanks for the offer. But I've been thinking about this since we spoke last weekend, as my motor still isn't running properly it's probably not a good idea to do that sort of mileage as it is. Hopefully next time though.

Would love to come along, so thanks for the offer, but sadly I won't be launching until the end of the month for this season. Maybe next time.

No problem guys; we can go again some time. Actually the wind's still quite strong so I'll probably go Sunday instead.

Yes, supposedly dropping to a F3-4 tomorrow afternoon, but we'll have to wait and see. I guess there shouldn't be too much swell given the NE direction though.

What time would you be leaving Sunday morning? My engine seems ok at 30 kts, so if I can get myself out of bed I might be there

Hi Matt,
I'll be leaving La Collette at about 07:15 and will be taking it fairly easy as high tide is about 09:15 at Mont St. Michel but I need to be there half an hour beforehand as I want to go to the shops and buy a few things. I'll leave Mont St. Michel 20mins after HW.

Sea Quest: I'll be passing the Minquiers on the way back at around 11:00.

I only just spotted this thread, but it looks like everyone is out and about today in stead? (Sunday).

Might it be worth putting a link to specifics in the Channel Islands thread so that subscribers there get an email alert? Just a thought.

I shall be doing the Alderney-Jersey-Alderney run today and Guernsey tomorrow, listening out on Ch77. I had been going to Guernsey today as well and so would have just been touching shore in Bouley, but will now be going into St Helier for a wee bit.

Hopefully catch some of you up this afternoon.

(PS There is thick thick fog around the French coast at the time of writing)

It all went a bit pear shaped this morning guys so you didn't miss much. I've put a short video on the Rib Gallery forum.

Your'e either still stuck on that sandbank and you took a Blackberry with you to keep in touch with Ribnet, or you managed to get back ok. I guess you hit it on the way out, which is probably a good thing seeing as the tide would still have been rising I suppose. I'll make sure I follow at a good distance if we manage to get a joint trip together.

We had a great run to Jersey, thick fog in the north but flat calm. Very odd combination of being really quite chilly on the water but bright sunshine that was really warm.

Caught up with Martini
