We ran a rib ride last year and raised loads for the RNLI, they are getting on well with the new boathouse etc for the A.L.B 'Kiwi'
It's a great day out!

Well it looks like I may have answered my own question here as I have phoned up and made enquiries

The boat / helicopter demo will kick off between 12:00 - 12:30 ish but this is all subject to weather / tide. To get there in plenty of time I reckon we would have to set off from Ty Calch at 10:00am. Only problem is the low tide (0.8m) is at 10:00am (at menai bridge) and as a novice I have always restricted myself to 3 hours either side of high tide when on the straits. Would we get through at 10:00am (looking for some help from the pros here )

as long as you do your homework before hand, and stick to the marked channel thru the Straits you can get thru any state if tide, it's only an issue for shipping and yatchs with big keels, ribs should have no such issues 👍
