Out of interest how much fuel would a 60 hp 5.2 meter boat be carrying to safely circumnavigate the island? I toyed with the idea of doing it solo over the bank holiday weekend. (Humber pawl has now somewhat put me off as we were going to tacle it anti-clockwise!
) I reckoned 80-90 litres, but has someone got any actual used figures?
I know consumption is variable based on conditions weight etc etc
Longest ever run to date was Dunbar to Isle of May (circa 22 miles) I used approximately 20 litres of fuel. Conditions were probably optimum based in terms of sea conditions as I managed to maintain a high speed plane for circa 2/3 of the distance.
