Millport fireworks

Anybody going? We are keeping an eye on the weather as we have a fair trek back afterwards to Loch Fyne. Its either this, the Easdale stone skimming championships or if the weather stays pants, stay at home!

The weather reports are still for overcast dry weather with light winds. If it stays this way or better we will come over and maybe dive during the day and watch the fireworks at night. We have a long trek in the dark back over to tarbert so weather has to be calm cos its pretty black once you get round the back end of Bute!

Hi Bruce

Yes we intend heading over for the fireworks - forecast looks pretty good (given that it is the West of Scotland!).

Weather looks good so we are getting stuff out to come across tomorrow late morning, bit of diving probably and then head to Millport.
Display is at 8:15 so probably be out offshore around 7:30-7:45.

Bit of video and pics posted once I sort them out. Said hello and then listened to the screaming from Gordys boat from the other side of the harbour.
Came into tarbert just before ten to find another fireworks display just finishing so next year we will get away pronto to reach this and see two in a night.

Screaming? I think you'll find that was the human fog horn, its amazing how much volume six people produce!

Wether permitting we are going over next weekend, leaving from Tarbert on Loch Fyne as usual.
Anybody else going to meet up with? Apart from Gordy and the human foghorn...

Dub, I'll PM you about another time for the cruise unless you're planning on this being the last trip this year? one of the following two weekends looks most likely at the moment, but will stop here so the thread don't get hyjacked!
