March 7th Knott End

Hi folks
just an update so you dont forget

March 7th Knott End.
(coppied from Garygee thread)

Tide is 9.5M at 11.30. This would allow to lauch and be away for 10.00am, giving a good 5 hours and still recovering at 15.00 still in daylight.

Depending on weather I suggest a trip down the shore at Blackpool, to say south shore or Gut Buoy then across to Piel Island for a pie & pint, (45 miles ish).

If weather is great (we can hope) we could come back via the gas fields (72 miles ish). if weather is S**T we could go stright to Piel Island (28 miles ish) or if that bad launch at Stanna and play in the surf round wire light.

So who on for it, plan to lauch at Knott End be in the water & ready for 10.00 and decide on the day based on weather and RIBs how far a field we go.

Barry

Hi folks

Two weeks off, whos still coming out for the day ?.

Ian, do you still want to come on my RIB ( After seeing the last few trips )?.

Lets hope for some nice weather, about due some.
But in the worst case you do learn how the handle a RIB in the rough.

Will post a suggested route the Saturday before once we have a good idea what weather is doing.

Should be out this weekend as well for a hour or two, if anyone is around.

Regards Gary

Hi folks

Their was one other said they was interested, "My Girls" and Dave, Nikky & Simon said they may be on.

Also Whitingiom said he may get over from IOM depending on weather.

Weather is going the right way with the long term forcast shoung it getting better as the week goes on (Yes we have heard that before )

Anyway once we get a final list & a resonable forcast on say Friday we will decide where we are going.

It will help if everyone can indicate their safe unrefuled range to help me plan. If conditions are A1 (if only )a trip ti IOM may even be an option.

So come on guys who else is coming out on Sunday.

Regards Gary

Hi folks

Yes it was much better although a bit of chop we did manage to get out to sea this time.

I have a few pics of Black Magic, and others.

Not many as I ended up going back to drop kids off & Denise, to rough for little Liam.
Much to Denises displeasure as she was looking forward to geting out.
Given this it get hard trying to pace another RIB at speed while trying to operate wheel, throttle & camera at same time.

Anyway I will go through them and post some tonight.

Regards Gary
