Well Gentlemen How does next weekend sound?
If the weather looks good, thinking of Leaveing on the Friday morning and returning on Saturday...Camping, or Staying in the Barn,..to be decided..If it looks a little inclement makeing it a One day Saturday Jaunt.
Lock opening times at Watchet are perfect, for an early start and we can get back in befor nightfall.
Looking at a 8am start on either day.Soo.. Who's up for it?..and can make it for both cenario's?...Weather is meant to be good!!

What a great trip ! after a fairly lumpy trip down (trimmed in the whole way) spent a VERY pleasant evening in the Marisco Tavern on Lundy and had a delicious steak along with a few pints. Maximus sorted our B&B accomodation at the old lighthouse which was excellent value and a great place to crash out after rough trip.

Woke up this morning to an excellent FEB and headed out for some fishing on the way back up the channel.

Maximus had a couple of Bass and a Rass, Guy and I had a couple of Pollock and some Mackerel.

I'm sure the "Scotish possies" will be queuing up

Fishing just outside Marine Conservation areas is a good tactic and proves just how well they work. The reserve acts as a nursery and safe area and the surrounding areas get topped up with fresh supplies.

Glad you all had a ball, btw. I was reading a little about Lundy in yer man Connolly's "Shipping Forecast" - it has an interesting (v. bloody) history and sounds like a nice spot.

Arrange a date then Matthew .... Just leave a few weeks in July free we don't want to clash with the Caernarfon - Dun Laoghaire round 2 trip

Pretty flexable with dates this end Guys, with it being in my Back Yard and all, and Chris always seems to make it when it matters..So you let us know what would fit in..Certainly worth the effort!Launching at Cardiff, like Chris would make things considerabley easier, unless anyone is in the 'Neighbourhood' for a longer Break...
Picked the Boat up from Watchet tonight, and could'nt resist a Blast with Matt h over to Steepholme Island, befor we recovered....and either I'm getting 'Better'... or Matt h's Nerve's are finaly Failing..But it was the FIRST time EVER he asked me to SLOW DOWN!!??!.. Great stuff
