Loch Fyne - This sunday (12th Oct 14)

Last minute-ish plan here, actual times subject to traffic & the likelihood of my engine starting after 10 months idle.....

Plan is to run it on muffs just to make sure it starts, and if so fuel up tomorrow evening. Aim to be launching at Largs Marina around 0930 Sunday morning, and head up loch Fyne via between the Cumbraes & Garroch Head. , possibly going inshore of Inchmarnock for a wee change of scenery.

Theory being having got to the top of the loch pull in at Inveraray for a fuel top-up and if its open, a spin round the Maritime museum. Depending on time / weather / inclination I may return to Largs via the Kyles.

Tide is following most of the day,vso should improve economy (slighty!). My normal cruising speed is 20-23 knots.

If anyone wants to join me, let me know. (I will then try to stick to my morning timing plan a bit more closely! )

Don't rub it in...

Thankfully I had the foresight to realise that as the engine hasn't run in nearly 11months I should probably try it on muffs before I hitched on...

Unfortunately BUZH spark plugs are not stocked by a certain national car bits shop... probably should have tested earlier in the week.

So, Perroboy, that winter cruise- fancy a trip to Inveraray some time?

Yep, new axle arrives this week so should be mobile shortly. Just let me know what you are thinking.

1) fit plugs that arrived yesterday
2) check it does actually run
3) find a free weekend
4) see first post!

Joking aside, at the moment 3 is going to tbe the most difficult, but will let you know.
