Last Cruise of the Summer?!

It's not too early to start thinking about this one. The crowd that went to St.Malo last year are interested in doing something similar this year. We are looking at end of Sept early October..........destination?!
A wonderful discovery my wife and I had last week - PAIMPOL and LEZARDRIEUX in Brittany. This will not be a BIBOA cruise as Mr.Lemmer and I are planning this one together. Give it some thought.
Some snaps of last week.

Charles, this is the Eastern end of the "Rose Granite Coast" isn't it?

Hmmm, very interested.

Hi Charles,

Good choice. I was in Paimpol earlier this year on a rag 'n stick job and think I mentioned on another thread that this would be a good cruise destination.

As you know, the outer harbour dries completely so you'll have to get the tides right for the weekend.

Some berk (me) was late back with the provisions, and we were stuck firm alongside the wall for 7 hours, much to the amusement of the locals who all nodded sagely and to the fury of the skipper and the rest of the crew.

Will be interested to see which weekend you choose, due to golf tour, Mrs W's birthday etc. but nothing's impossible....

Had a window seat on the flight back from Palma yesterday and the visibility was absolutely exceptional. The detail was so clear that you could actually see the areas where overfalls occur and the incoming tide being parted by the various rocks.

I was particularly looking for the Roches D'Ouvres as you encounter these on the way from St Peter Port down to Paimpol, and sure enough the westerly sun picked them out for a few moments even though we were over the Cherbourg peninsula.

So, next question. Paimpol, is it gonna happen and if so, when and have you booked a weekend of weather like we've just had !

Paimpol is still on as far as I am concerned, first week-end in October. I am searching for my partner in crime who I believe is skulking around SBS , Monsieur Lemmer, to ascertain how many boats we have thus far.
