LAmpton > Solent < LAmpton - Saturday 3 December

The hard core of the LAmpton ribsters are planning a rib raid into the Solent on Saturday 3 December. The tides are ok, the weather well this is something which is always unpredictable this time of the year so final decision will be taken on Friday.

The plan is for 2 ribs (Parker 750RS and Ballistic 650 ) to leave about 9 AM and head for Cowes or Yarmouth for lunch then again pending weather conditions go back via the Needles.

We would gladly meet up with the Solent ribsters if anyone has any plans to be out that day

It will nice to meet up with you . As the days are shorter we do not want to get caught out in the dark on the way back so will be having an early start say 8:45/ 9:00 . Pending weather conditions we should be entering the Solent say 10:30

we could agree a radio channel, any preferences

my thinking is the same . Was out today in a hovercraft in Southampton waters this afternoon and the wind was 20 knots and quite a chop. Not the weather for ribbing. Can only just imagine was it was like around Selsy Bill

we will make final decision tomorrow, if not this Saturday then we will try the following

Yep, You looked like a Telly Tubby. "Tinky Winky"

Phil, the Telly Tubby suit, Suited you, it will look so much better if you wore it on a Ribtec 655.

What do people think of the Ribtec 655. i would love to know.

Ok John

Don't make it to obvious that you've registered at last!!!

About time you started spending more time with people who use real boats.

Andy it was a pleasure to have you on board and glad you enjoyed the ride. Sorry that we were pushed for time but last recovery at 4:30 and sunset at 4 PM was against us. We entered LAmpton harbour at 3:30 having had a good run. Only Selsy Bill via the channel was bumpy but that was to be expected. By 4:45 the rib had been washed down and put away till the next time. Will post some pictures later.

I have missed coming into the Solent so we will be back but with the Parker 630 diesel next time
