Nice one

He he, of course the shots of your demo of Blue Ray were on a hand held 'proper' video camera, whilst the in boat shots were on the Go-Pro, using the standard mount. Unfortunately for the first time I had problems with the mount coming up the Solent - for part of the run I had nothing but clouds! If you look as I come up to the rendevous at South Bramble Buoy the angle of the camera shot is a little higher And that was with the clamp as tight as my puny fingers could manage. Interesting how the sea looks a lot flatter than I remember it

Cheers Alex, enjoyed yours as well. Did you like your approach caught through the 'A' frame?
Interesting comparing videos from helmet mounted and 'A' frame mounted cameras.

Another Video

This is not taken with a Go Pro (sadly) but with a 720p Dogcam. Quality of utube video is poor but much better on my laptop, but I wanted to upload quickly.

I have a velcro mount on top of the A frame but just tied it to the top of the windscreen this time. I think the first section off the Needles would be better from that higher perspective, you can't really tell how high the bow was off the surface (very high at times), while the stern was surfing down behind.

Still I hope you enjoy it, I just must get a better camera. Santa are you listening?

Depends who is asking! If SWMBO about £100!

Poole -Folly - Poole is about 62 nautical miles so if I run at my most economical speed (between 25-30 knots) probably £150, but in anything less than ideal conditions (or trying to keep up with Grimalkin) a lot more.

Best not to think about it really I wish you hadn't asked!

Port Solent Cowes and return not much change from £100.00 but not sure I can find a better way to spend it.

Can I enter this conversation with a thumbs up for my love of a diesel rib, haven't purchased fuel for the old girl for a while but my guess is I could get to Poole from the hamble for about £25

Biff next time your going let me know if your up for towing us petrol heads. Seriously a lot to be said for diesel economy. Our next purchase will most probably be yanmar powered.

Took a while to get round to editing down the video, and still not a steady shot in it

Anyway, this is what I took on the day:

But for heavens sake don't ever let Ian near a dance floor? ;-)...
