Are you still planning to go on Saturday? The Metcheck forecast shows good weather for the weekend.

If you are going what time should we meet. I am leaving from Southampton waters so how about Calshot as you are coming from Chichester / Portsmouth. Is 9 AM ok ?

Hi Andre,

Still up for it this end.
I'd prefer not meeting before 10 though, unless we will have tide issues in Alderney (I've not looked yet), as I have to drive 2 hours to even get to the boat! Guess I'll see you at the Dry Stack, as I am put in at Drivers, otherwise meeting off Calshot works for me.

Weather looking good at the moment, but Monday looking a bit nasty, so will keep a close eye out, as I need to get back on Sunday really.

Also have to find out if I managed to get a campsite reservation as I had no reply to the email Could end up kipping on the boat again

Cheers

Roy, Andre,

Life is conspiring against me... now can't make it. Hope you have a fab couple of days on the water, and that the weather goes your way.

Cheers

Looks like it worked out for the best, as I went out this afternoon, had some stupid minor electrical faults, now have no nav lights... but a strange engine problem too. So, need to work that out sharpish! But, maybe best I'm not going!

Looks like a bit of a rough old day for a channel crossing, F6 on the nose by the look of XC Weather and a bit of surfing down the waves on the way home tomorrow.

Neil, no worries there will always be another time specially when the weather
is better. Roy and I decided that today was not the day for Alderney

Thank to everyone who came along for the trip, Roy , Andre no problem Saturday was gusting very hard in Alderney so you would have had a very rough trip in the end, we can allways go again.

Time to go a re fit the broken seat.

Cheers

Julian

Hi Andre,

Weather was not too bad force 4 to 5 following sea, our seat broke 10 miles of Alderney so we had 50 miles of standing up which was not ideal, we had good luck with the weather over the trip and only one rough run from Jersey to Alderney on the saturday.

Would be up for a trip anytime.

Cheers

Julian
