The weather looks good for tomorrow so we are planning a blast in the Solent and for a change lunch at the Island harbour marina.

It was a good day out and if you have not yet enjoyed the food at the Breeze at the island harbour marine then I can recommend it. Waiter service as well and you can leave your rib on the pontoon and no fee providing you eat at the restaurant.

Have they managed to sell any more of the new properties there yet? We had a look around last summer and couldn't work out why so few were sold. We put in a VERY cheeky offer which, as expected, they rejected. Two weeks later they rang and said if we were still willing to proceed they'd accept our offer! The fact that they were apparently so desperate spooked us and we decided to pass on the offer.

Andre, it's booked on the ferry for April 25, will have it down on the Solent for the 26th, Easter week.

This can be very tidal and tight. We use it for transfers for IOW Festival and at low water you need to know access areas , don't cut corners channel is narrow so ask Island harbour for their access chart. Has a lock in and outside pontoon is very shallow at lows
