Thinking was to clear out the money box and buy the maximum I could afford (within what the boat can take) and I'm certainly hoping when I take delivery in march it does indeed go like stink.

I'd be delighted to meet you at Torquay and cruise down to plymouth in company. I should have room for a couple of crew mates if anybody whats the trip.

Can you just tell me how many miles from Torquay to Plymouth Sound? Need to do some calcs for my fuel/speed (you said about 1 1/2 hours but @ what speed?)

I think it much better you launch at Brixham. Very good slipways and parking.
Torquay, bit of a disaster for launching, especially as they are rebuilding the Inner Harbour at the moment.
