Hi All
Anyone going to Falmouth week?

"Anyone who has ever been to Cowes Week will tell you that the annual firework display that concludes the event is the stuff of legend, with visitors travelling from all over the country to witness it.

This year, the Henri-Lloyd Falmouth Week team is delighted to announce that the company responsible for this piece of pyrotechnic perfection, Kimbolton Fireworks, will also be directing Falmouth’s Fireworks Spectacular on Friday 12th August 2005."

Hi
Just spoke with Port of Falmouth Sailing Association who advised:

"Firework show will start at 22:00 from a barge that is approx 200 Meters west of Queens Jetty. There is a 120 Meters exclusion zone from the barrage and please don’t fire any flares!"

I’ve got a 240 mile drive home from work so hopefully make it in time if I leave now Ill be leaving my flares at home too

Have a great night all.

Very kind offer Alex - I would love to see the show from the water.

Many Thanks to Alex for taking a poor boatless me and the kids out on Silver Fern.

The fireworks were great

Unbelievable how many idiots were out with no NAV lights though.

In a rather strange unexpected ending to the evening, there was a colision between the water taxi and a small fishing boat which resulted in the fishing boat sinking - no details on exactly what happened other than both the men in the fishing boat managed to get safely abord the water taxi but im sure it will be in the news.

The news article from the bbc about the colision on the night of the fireworks - still no details of whether NAV lights were in use.
